But investment is not an easy game. You may be very disappointed if you invested in mutual funds or followed the major market indexes in last few years wishing to achieve the expected +10 % annualized return.

From August 1, 2001 to December 31, 2008, for the whole seven year and five month, the market indexes gave you all negative total returns of -22.20% (NASDAQ), -25.43% (S&P500) and -22.28% (DJ 30) respectively. This is even less than bank's compounded interest return (CD's).

Yet, we do know that it is possible to achieve above average return for your money because we have done it over the same period of time.

Here is how we performed: our annualized return is +70.42% from 2001-08 to 2008-07 and our total return is +5,202.06% from 2001-08 to 2008-12 (click here to see our performance).

While most investors believe that a buy-and-hold strategy cannot make money, we achieved our investment goals by just doing that: buy-and-hold. We strongly believe that buy-and-hold may be the best strategy to gain good long term investment returns and we did have followed our strategy. Most of our big winners are our buy-and-hold type of stocks (see "our complete trading record).

Of course, you have to know which stock to buy-and-hold and at what price. That is the key to a successful investment.

First, you have to identify undervalued stocks, not overvalued stocks to buy. Many times, popular stocks often make shares outrageously expensive, leaving even good companies vulnerable to painful downturns. You  are bound to lose if you chase overvalued stocks.

Second, you have to be a patient investor. You have to wait patiently for your beloved stock price to drop to an acceptable level (good value) before buying, and you have to hold the stocks patiently for big gains. Lack of patience is the main reason for the investment failure.

We think that we can help you in both ways. We can help you to identify undervalued stocks to own and we can help you to hold those stocks patiently to achieve good long term returns.
